VP, Credit Portfolio Lead will play a critical role in developing Credit Abuse and Payments Risk strategies. The individual will use analytical tools to drive end to end solutions to mitigate risk from credit abuse and manage customer impacts. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker that will be able to drive end-to-end strategy changes using analytics with minimal supervision. The incumbent should work well as a teammate and interact closely with cross-functional partners to execute these strategy changes.

Core Responsibilities of this role:
- Understand and optimize Credit abuse risk management by analyzing trends in the data
- Hands on experience with Data analytics and Proven ability to lead the analysis into actionable business solutions with clear P&L impact
- Perform Transaction-level analytics to make informed decisions impacting Credit Abuse while balancing customer point of sale experience.
- Collaborate closely with Fraud / Operations team to understand unusual transaction scenarios and put in place mitigating actions.
- Synthesize in-depth analysis succinctly and communicate to senior management in a concise manner.
- Partner closely with internal project management, execution, Operations, IT and scoring teams.

  • Bachelors Degree is required (Masters Degree preferred) in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • 3- 5 years of experience in an analytical capacity; prior experience in financial industry is desirable. Transaction analytics experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of Cards business's Profit & Loss Drivers.
  • Strong quantitative aptitude and advanced skills in Excel, Access, SAS, SQL and/or other analytical/data mining tools.
  • SAS, MS Office, MS Excel, Pivots & PowerPoint
  • Experience with a modeling package such as SAS E Miner, Knowledge Studio, TreeNet, Residual modeling is a plus.
  • Good business acumen and the ability to connect analytics with business decisions. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage and plan business initiatives from end to end.
  • Comfortable presenting work to peers, cross functional businesses & senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work against tight deadlines.
