Strategy Analyst – Dallas, TX

Position Description:

The Business Strategy Analyst provides analysis and management of processes and business activities that result in efficiency, quality, and effectiveness for the Asset Disposition Department. The Strategy Analyst acts as lead in departmental projects, coordinating the design, development, testing and implementation of system solutions. In larger projects, works with members of the project team and applies understanding of technology environments, application and process capabilities to produce the best solution(s) to support the stated business problem, opportunity, or objective.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Analysis and Strategy
a.) Conduct research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of business decisions. Proactively identify and initiate projects that align with the organization’s strategic direction and enhance business activity such as process, strategy, and technology.

b.) Participate in strategy meetings and work with the leadership to develop servicing strategy for unique products/deals.

c.) Measure the performance / effectiveness of each strategy and report the results to the leadership.

d.) Develop partnership with Master Servicing, Capital Markets and Portfolio Performance Management to create an environment to share ideas and collaborate to develop new strategies in order to reduce credit losses and reduce reputation risk.

2. Project Management
Apply the Project Management lifecycle, processes, techniques, and deliverables to projects, thus ensuring consistent use of system requirement definition techniques, deliverables, solutions, and project tools.

3. Reporting
Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports and queries from various external sources. Responsible for communicating results to management and auditors.

4. Problem Solving
Identify difficult problems and develop action plans to respond to those problems. Through investigation may determine underlying or hidden challenges; excels at objective analysis; looks beyond the obvious and does not stop at the first answer.

5. Consultation
Establish and maintain a general understanding of the business organization, processes, products and services, and become familiar with new business operations and organization units that evolve through acquisition or reorganization to effectively assist with managing business change or process requirements. Confer and advise on effective definition of project objectives, selection of business and system analysis methods, techniques, and other tools for achieving effective solutions.

6. Process Quality Control

Identify and upkeep all existing policies. Apply and test all new strategies against existing policies to ensure compliance standards are maintained. Work with Quality department as well as leadership to orchestrate appropriate control tests.

Minimum Requirements:

*Ability to think conceptually, strategically, and tactically.
*Strong analytical mind

*Exhibit an understanding of all current Loss Mitigation options (ie. Modifications, Liquidations, 1 st and 2 nd liens)

*SQL and Business Objects Experience
*Interpersonal and motivational skills
*Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
*Ability to become partner with other company officers.
*Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge and Experience

*Self Motivated
