PwC’s Banking and Capital Markets Risk Practice conducts risk management advisory for financial services firms including global universal banks, investment banks, regional banks, insurance companies, asset managers and hedge funds. The practice comprises more than 180 professionals dedicated to providing consulting services in the areas of credit, market, operational and liquidity risk management; capital, stress testing and Basel; performance management; financial analytics and valuation; and enterprise risk management and governance.
In the area of credit risk management we help our clients evaluate, develop and implement risk management processes along with measurement techniques and tools to support their credit-related businesses and manage their credit exposures more effectively. Related service offerings include:

-Demonstrates expertise and exposure to a wide range of commercial lending products and processes such as commercial & industrial loans, commercial real estate, asset based lending, project finance, leasing, etc
-Demonstrates a deep understanding and knowledge of credit risk processes, credit analysis, risk rating, risk management policies and risk management organization structures
-Demonstrates experience in the following areas:
-Developing and applying commercial credit risk methodologies including obligor and facility risk rating, Basel II regulatory capital and economic capital models, allowance for loan and lease loss models, pricing models, etc.
-Design and implementation of commercial credit risk analytics and reporting dashboards for driving strategic, credit policy, financial planning, portfolio management, and allowance for loan loss discussions
-Selecting, implementing and/or using commercial credit risk workflow, analytic and/or reporting technologies
-Working in a project environment, particularly leading or playing a significant role in commercial lending and credit process redesign initiatives such as streamlining credit approval processes, better aligning deal team execution and delivery to client segmentation schemes, implementing Basel II process redesign initiatives, redesigning risk management organization or functional responsibilities, enhancing loan review processes, and/or enhancing loss mitigation/recovery processes

-Obtained GARP /PRMIA risk management certification, as well as having completed a formal credit training program

Skills Preferred
Demonstrates extensive abilities with, and/or a proven record of success with managing efforts related to, advising clients in the following areas of credit risk management:

-credit origination, servicing and review/approval processes
-capital markets and counterparty risk management
­-other risk management disciplines involving market and operational risks
­-cash and derivative financial instruments including credit derivatives
­-development, implementation and assessment of quantitative credit risk measurement methodologies
­-Basel II regulatory capital and compliance matters
­-economic capital and loan pricing fundamentals

Demonstrates proven extensive abilities, especially creative problem-solving, to utilize credit risk management software, data and methodology in the completion of client engagements, including leveraging related technology vendors and their applications

Demonstrates extensive consulting skills within a professional services and general risk management environment, including the thorough ability to analyze the current state, develop the target state and present alternatives and recommendations to Senior Management as well as plan, execute and control engagements.

Demonstrates extensive project management skills, including but not limited to: meeting facilitation, leadership of client and internal project staffs and teams, deliverable production and quality review, and strict adherence to timelines and deadlines.

Demonstrates extensive abilities to write and deliver proposals to prospective clients, including leveraging PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
