Responsibilities Columbia Management, an Ameriprise Financial company, is looking for a Lead Performance Analyst to be located either its Minneapolis, MN or Boston, MA offices. The position leads and manages performance analytics functions in the process of collecting, communicating, measuring, and analyzing investment performance information to ensure accuracy and the delivery of time-sensitive performance information for clients, marketing materials, investment professionals, and all levels of management. Ongoing responsibilities include: * Leads and manages performance initiatives across the organization, including providing leadership/management to a small team of senior performance analysts. Provides leadership, coaching, setting goals, and conducting performance reviews with direct reports. * Influences and regularly interacts at all levels of the organization, including Senior Management, Portfolio Managers, Marketing Professionals, and Legal/Compliance Professionals. * Manages the overall performance measurement functions across multiple organizations with the asset management business. This includes RFP/RFI performance responses, Global Investment Performances Standard (GIPS) governance, assets under management reporting, comparative performance analysis, and etc. * Provides direction and influence around performance measurement functions across the organization on multiple products, such as Institutional Separate Accounts, Wrap Accounts, and Hedge Funds. * Partner with Operations, Administration, and Technology to ensure data quality and to identify and resolve issues related to performance. Manage vendor relationships and lead performance related process improvements within the asset management business. Required Qualifications * Expert knowledge of performance measurement concepts; CIPM preferred or willing to pursue. * 3+ years work experience specific to performance measurement and analysis. * A strong team player who is able to successfully meet deadlines. * Strong knowledge of investment concepts. * Strong knowledge of capital markets. * Experience with investment systems. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access. * Critical thinker with strong problem solving skills. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Strong organizational skills. * Ability to work independently. * 2+ years people leadership expeirence. * BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
