Associate Director - Corporate/Institutional Agribusiness Christchurch (Fixed Term May 2012- May 2013) Job Details

Corporate Agribusiness, part of BNZ Partners, is looking for an Associate Director to join our Christchurch team in a Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave, reporting to Client Director - Corporate Agribusiness.

BNZ Corporate Agribusiness has a strategic focus on high value transactions ($30m+), is closely linked to the Subordinated/Hybrid Equity teams, the successful candidate will be involved with some of the highest profile Agricultural transactions in NZ. A dual management model enables the Corporate Agribusiness team to work closely with the regional Agribusiness teams, with an advisory mandate in relation to the structure of transactions, through to Credit approval and facility documentation.

Key accountabilities include:

-Working as part of a small deal team which supports the Agribusiness Partner in managing their large and complex clients.  This will specifically include:

• Full responsibility for the structuring of senior debt transactions, financial modelling, writing of credit submissions and liaising with Credit Partners.
• Preparation of Term Sheets and Discussion Papers for Internal and External Use.
• Liaising with Internal and External legal advisors to prepare Facility and Security documentation including Facility Agreements at Senior and Subordinated levels, Security Arrangements and Inter-creditor arrangements.

 -Where appropriate, attending client meetings with the Agribusiness Partner to assess transaction opportunities for both existing clients and New to Bank prospects.

-Assist with monitoring and reporting of assets.

- Regular contact with and coaching of local Agribusiness Partners to assist with building knowledge and expertise

This represents a unique opportunity for a customer focused individual with initiative who is looking to work in a high performing deal team. Ideally the successful candidate will possess strong Accounting or Corporate Banking experience, extensive Financial Modelling and Credit Writing experience and be confident in building and maintaining relationships with both clients and external professionals.
