Summary:
Independently monitor the performance of the assigned borrowers, identify deviations within the context of the documented loan structure and take appropriate action as necessary. The Loan Officer is responsible for managing the loan / deposit relationship and the credit risk associated with each relationship. The Loan Officer is expected to work closely with Portfolio Management leaders and the Underwriting personnel in the Commercial & Specialty Finance group, but they are ultimately accountable for each of their loans.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Underwriting prior to loan closing, as it relates to facilitating the transition from "prospect" in underwriting to "client" via loan closing
- Track financial performance of the Borrower, monitoring trends and industry specific changes
- Monitor and enforce terms of Loan Agreement / Documents
- Respond to Borrower requests for additional funding, amendments and new business
- Communicate with CSF management, as it relates to the performance of the portfolio
- Ensure timely processing of financial transactions without error
- Maintain and build client relationships
- Develop working relationship with Loan Operations and Treasury Management
- Monitor detailed financial models and the key economic drivers

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
It is preferred that the candidate has experience in the following areas:
- A minimum of 5 years lending / credit experience;
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA a plus);
- Experience in healthcare lending and / or asset-based lending;
- Knowledge of real estate investment and long term care sector (including Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement and other sector-specific issues);
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with clients, peers and fellow associates;
- Advanced EXCEL spreadsheet skills;
- Ability to learn, understand and master the input / output of our commercial loan systems
