The Project Manager will work with a broad set of cross-functional organizations and individuals in making sure that the ideas, concepts and expectations of the business leaders are achievable - and that programs and projects are defined, structured, and managed with the necessary discipline in order to precisely deliver the benefits expected, within budget and on schedule. The Project Manager will be able to lead and influence across all levels within the organization to ensure that the collective team works toward a mutually agreed upon business objective. The person selected for this position will engage geographically dispersed, matrixed teams and use strong planning, communication, and influencing skills to ensure the implementation our objectives. The Project Manager will be skilled at preparing written and oral communications to inform leaders on workstream status and identify risks and issues. This role requires an understanding of and ability to bring together cross functional working teams to deliver high quality business solutions. Some travel may be required to support initiatives assigned to the Project Manager. Responsibilities: - Manage large and complex initiatives, with direct accountability for project schedule, scope, budget, and quality. - Establish and enforce project governance. - Determine structure of project teams, identify resources required, and staff appropriately. - Create and maintain project plans. - Identify project risks and ensure they are mitigated. - Identify, track, and resolve project issues. - Ensure project change requests are properly identified, analyzed, and controlled. - Communicate project status through written reports and stakeholder reviews. - Manage and control the creation, use, and retention of all project artifacts. - Manage cross-functional project teams. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - 2 Years of Project Management experience - 2 Years experience in Communication with senior leadership Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering, mathematics or statistics - PMP, Lean or Six Sigma certification - 5 Years experience in Project management - 5 Years experience in Communication - 2 Years experience in Team leadership - 2 Years experience in working with project management tools At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
