We also provide auto, home and business loans, plus banking and other financial services. The Manager, Basel Data Analysis is part of Capital One's Risk Management division in Canada. As an individual contributor, the successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the Basel II team to provide support for the Basel II project. In addition to Basel II responsibilities, Finance and Credit Risk Management support will also be required. Responsibilities: - Working with the Basel II team to provide data support to the Basel II project - Interpreting Basel II data requirements - Producing detailed data definitions for the Basel II project - Analyzing data for identify anomalies and to verify data quality and availability - Provide analysis and support for Finance and Credit Risk Management Qualifications Required - Bachelors Degree in a Quantitative field such as Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. - 2+ years data analysis or equivalent experience, preferably in Financial Services/Banking. - Proficient in SQL, data profiling, and data analysis. - Results oriented with exceptional problem solving skills. - Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines. - Excellent communication skills (written and oral). - Understands relevant technology applications in their area: Teradata, Unix, SAS - Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team. - Uses sound judgment to identify issues and escalates when appropriate. - Contribute to improvements in processes (technical or business) used by analysts.
