As a Data Analyst, you'll use our Information-based Strategy (IBS) and technological tools to convert data into usable information. Responsibilities - Be the data subject matter expert for the line of business to deliver information and insights - Conduct analysis and research to drive business value - Design and develop sustainable processes to continuously augment the data infrastructure environment with an emphasis on data quality - nnovate to challenge the status quo and create new analytical techniques - Develop standardized tools to deliver process efficiency and quality - Aid in new data acquisition and explorations - Collaborate with other internal departments on cross functional projects Qualifications Required Qualifications -Knowledge on database principles and SQL language -Ability to distill large amounts of data into concise, accurate and relevant information and insights -A passion for technology and new tools that drives efficiency and quality -An inquisitive mind that constantly questions routine -A team based style that draws on the experience of the extended team -A "can-do" work ethic -A proactive attitude where you lead, influence and own analytical projects -Strong interpersonal communication skills -Flexibility and creativity in delivering on stated objectives -Bachelors degree in a quantitative profession (Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Math, Actuarial Science, etc.) Preferred Qualifications -Fluency in Teradata SQL -Experience with SAS to conduct data manipulation, analysis and reporting -Experience automating data transfers & reporting using Excel VBA -Knowledge of OLAP (Business Objects) would be a bonus -Experience in Credit Risk Analysis, Marketing Analysis or Business Analysis J2W:LI Job: Human Resources Primary Location: Canada-Ontario-Toronto-Canada-North American Center (93006) Schedule: Full-time Travel: No Job Posting: Unposting Date: | Employment Type: | Full Time | Region/Country: | Americas, United States | States/Counties: | Ontario | City: | Toronto | Address: | Post Date: | 02/10/2012 |
