Leverages a combination of quantitative analysis and market research to develop strategic insights and recommendations to optimize existing products or programs and/or develop new products or programs. Prepares and facilitates business proposals. Oversees multiple projects and programs concurrently. Regularly monitors financial performance of all business decisions so that corrective actions can be taken, if necessary. Manages a team of business analysts/managers who are responsible for developing the quarterly and annual forecasts and reviews. Responsibilities: - Oversee credit risk governance for Capital One's Canada Credit Card Portfolios - Lead cross-functional analytical projects - Partner with teams across the company to share best practices - Oversee business performance monitoring - Manage and develop a team of Analysts Qualifications Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in any quantitative field (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering) - Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis - Previous people management - Excellent strategic thinking and problem solving skills - Superior analytical skills - Ability to turn ambiguous concepts into concrete plans with data driven analysis and achieve results - Actively collaborate with senior level management on various projects - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly articulating and influencing strategies Preferred Qualifications: - Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) - Experience from Top-Tier management consulting experience and/or product management experience wtithin financial services or similar industry (eg. telecommunications) J2W:LI Job: Quantitative Analytics Primary Location: Canada-Ontario-Toronto-Canada-North American Center (93006) Schedule: Full-time Travel: Yes, 10 % of the Time Job Posting: Unposting Date: | Employment Type: | Full Time | Region/Country: | Americas, United States | States/Counties: | Ontario | City: | Toronto | Address: | Post Date: | 05/20/2012 |
