Description
Senior Branch Trainer

Locations: Kew Gardens and South Farmingdale, NY

Summary:
Responsible for delivering the suite of Branch Distribution Teller training courses. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the learning environment and resources support learner needs by preparing for and conducting courses, actively coaching associates as they learn, assessing associate understanding of information and ensuring the foundational skills exist prior to sending an associate to a branch where they will serve customers. This individual will also review training course trends, identify opportunities / recommendations for enhancement and provide feedback to Market Training Lead and local Training Manager for potential changes. This individual may provide training through multiple delivery methods (i.e. classroom, online, live meeting, conference calls, etc). In addition, he/she may be called upon to support additional training in support of business needs

Responsibilities:
Role is focused on the preparation for, delivery of and follow-up from classes in the suite of Branch Distribution training, typically focusing on front line teller population. As such, the role requires exceptional and facile communication and influence skills and the ability to consistently model Branch Distribution service standards when working with front line associates who will serve our customers.

Key responsibilities include the following:

o Facilitate classes within the Branch Distribution New Hire and Teller training curricula and complete follow up paperwork; deliver ad-hoc classes in support of business needs; courses may be delivered in classroom as well as via conference calls.
o Able to translate that information to ensure understanding by a beginner or learner; leverage solid knowledge of branch policies and procedures

o Conduct all preparation needed to effectively start each training course

o Coach associates through the duration of their training; consult with their supervisor and/or manager as appropriate

o Evaluate participant performance; share results with trainee's supervisor and/or manager and maintain results for training files

o Support the gathering of participant training metrics to allow for accurate and timely reporting.

o Evaluating the effectiveness of training courses and learning outcomes through in-session questions and feedback to define trends in content and delivery approaches and identify opportunities for enhancement; provide recommendations to Market Training Lead and/or local Training Manager

o Travel to other regions / markets as needed / requested

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.

18 months experience working in branch banking or in a corporate training/education role.

2 years experience in a role requiring the ability to analyze information and make individual assessments/recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree, in related field of study (e.g. education, communications, human resources)

2+ years combined experience working in branch banking or in a corporate training/education role.

2+ years experience in a role requiring the ability to analyze information and make individual assessments/recommendations.

2+ years with demonstrated superior sales and service results

2+ years demonstrated experience providing coaching and/or feedback to associates

1 year experience in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook
