CLL is seeking an experienced, highly motivated risk management practitioner with strong strategic and integrative thinking skills as well as good organizational and communication skills to work with diverse business areas in the risk management space. Responsibilities: - Lead the Consumer Lines and Loans Risk Office to identify, design, and execute the appropriate risk management processes and practices for establishing a well-managed business - Partner closely with CLL leaders to ensure appropriate awareness and execution of risk management processes - Perform duties as an integrated partner with business units - Coordinate with corporate risk management groups - Drive the development and evolution of the CLL Business Risk Office - Other risk management activities as required Provide leadership and direction to risk management team, including: - Initiative risk management (in coordination with Risk Management Committee and in support of NPMIG) - Audit preparation, management, response, and finding remediation management - Issue Management and risk event portfolio management - Regulatory change management Qualifications Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - 4 years of Operations Risk Management or compliance experience - 1 year of process or project management experience Preferred Qualifications: - MBA from an accredited university - 4 years of Loan experience - 4 years of project management experience - Integrative thinker and passionate problem solver - Able to build and maintain strong working relationships across workgroups - Highly motivated and self-directed with a strong sense of ownership - Flexibility to change direction quickly based on business needs - Comfortable with ambiguity and white-space thinking - Able to understand business processes, and provide input for business solutions - Strong communication and influencing skills - Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Risk management experience and familiarity with Capital One's risk management tools and practices At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
