Summary:

The Receivables Product Consultant will provide technical sales expertise of Treasury Managements receivable solutions to Treasury Management's Commercial customers and prospects. The Receivables Product Consultant must have a profound understanding of Capital One's paper-based and electronic receivables solutions including Wholesale Lockbox, Vault, Remote Deposit, ELockbox and Image Cash Letter services.

To drive revenue generation by improving client acquisition and client retention, the Receivables Product Consultant must interview and analyze the client accurately and have the ability to adjust a general receivable product or service to fit the customer's exact needs, desires and expectations. When applicable, product demonstrations may be used to help accomplish this.

As the job title indicates, as a consultant you will be considered to be an expert advisor and will enjoy a high-level of customer contact filled with both routine and unexpected challenges. As a Receivables Product Consultant, no two days will be alike. In addition to participating in in-person consultative customer and prospect calls, you will also be required to prepare and present comprehensive responses to Request's For Proposals.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with Relationship Managers and Treasury Management Sales to generate revenue from sales of treasury management's receivable services.

- Provide major input into the sales lifecycle and obtain qualitative and quantitative information to support successful sales activities.

- The Product Consultant must be able to analyze and resolve a wide range of treasury management issues of varying complexity for commercial customers and prospects.

- Lead the technical assessment and delivery of specific technical solutions to the customer. The Product Consultant must have the ability to describe Treasury Management receivable products in great detail.

- The Product Consultant must be able to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with Relationship Managers and Treasury Management Sales Associates and Product Managers. Moreover, this position requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.

- Provide updates to Relationship Managers and Treasury Management Sales on product enhancements, projects, and issues.

- Develop and enhance professional rapport with customers. Customer interaction may include Treasury, Finance, Technology, Operations and Risk Management professionals.

- Promote/market products throughout the bank.

- Anticipate product enhancements by competition.

- Recommend new products or enhancements as changes are warranted or justified.

- Understand product dynamics, and ensure highest product quality and client experience.

- Identify and target potential customers and/or markets for products.

- Participate in proposal preparation process for complex sales opportunities.

- Participate in industry conferences and seminars; keep abreast of changes, trends, etc. in the marketplace and educate partners and customers as appropriate.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree.

- 4 years of product management or development experience, or 5 years experience in bank operations, preferably in a supervisor' capacity, or 6 years of treasury/cash management industry related experience either within a Corporate Treasury or Non-credit services product management
