Engages in high impact projects to provide subject matter expertise with respect to data architecture, potential impacts of data decisions, and the audits required to maintain data integrity. Identifies data integrity issues in systems, builds business buy-in for ownership of data quality, and creates processes or audits to address data issues. Alerts IT to issues in the data environment and partners with them to implement break-fixes and enhancements. Mentors and trains others on required applications and technologies. Works with data analysts and business teams to create insights and deliver on strategic data requests. Responsibilities: - Production Support - Identify issues, review errors, approve resolution, and advise of potential downstream impacts. - Database Compliance - Partner with production support, Data stewards and other groups to identify and remediate Database Compliance issues - Database and Application Security - Performs project management duties for strategic project work. Partners with external organizations as needed to accomplish business results - Project Analysis and Testing - Provide support for projects, review requirements and identify resolutions for potential issues. - Synthesize large amounts of data to drive business insights. - Create reports in Business Objects (Crystal/ WebI) as needed for Business Performance Monitoring. - Mentor new associates Qualifications Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in quantitative field - 5 Year experience in programming (SAS, SQL and Teradata) in a corporate environment - 5 Years experience in developing, creating and maintaining reports in a corporate environment - 5 Years experience in either Business Objects, Crystal Reports or WebIntelligence (WebI) Reports in a corporate environment - 3 Years experience in Data Analysis in a corporate environment Preferred Qualifications: - Masters Degree in Math, Business, Statistics, Engineering, Computer science, or Information Systems (MIS or IS) - SAS Certifications, Teradata certification, CBIP (Certified Business Intelligence Professional), Oracle, Lean, Six Sigma - 7 Years experience in Programming (SAS, SQL and Teradata) - 7 Years experience in Business Objects, Crystal Reports or WebIntelligence (WebI) Reports - 5 Years experience in Data Analysis in a corporate environment - 3 Years experience in Application Development in a corporate environment - 3 Years experience in Data warehousing in a corporate environment At this time, Capital One will sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
