Summary: Capital One Canada is looking for an experienced risk management professional to take on a manager role in our Business Risk Office. The successful candidate will be one who can influence and lead across the Canadian operation and at multiple levels of the organization, drive their own agenda, manage multiple risk programs and projects as well as assess their area for new and emerging risks. Responsibilities: - Own and manage Operational Risk Management for the Canadian line of business - Support Enterprise Risk Management and other Risk/Governance Programs - Provide people and team leadership across their programs and projects - Develop, assess and drive improvements in our business control environment and risk management programs - Develop a superior network of risk relationships with key groups across the broader organization such as ERM, ORM, Credit Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, etc., - Partner with and influence business leaders, associates and corporate risk groups to drive our risk management goals - Be team player and help develop and lead the strategic direction of Canada Risk Management; make offers to further that agenda Qualifications Qualifications: - Post Secondary Degree - 5+ years experience in Operational Risk Management, Process Management, Process Engineering or related fields - People management experience is highly desirable - Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills - Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and problem solving skills Preferred Qualifications: - Masters of Business Administration (MBA) - Business Process certifications and/or Quality certifications such as Green Belt etc. - Experience within a financial institution, or federally regulated enterprise - Experience in interacting with Internal Audit J2W:LI Job: Audit, Risk Management and Security Primary Location: Canada-Ontario-Toronto-Canada-North American Center (93006) Schedule: Full-time Travel: No Job Posting: Unposting Date: | Employment Type: | Full Time | Region/Country: | Americas, United States | States/Counties: | Ontario | City: | Toronto | Address: | Post Date: | 02/10/2012 |
