This role gives the successful candidate an opportunity to get exposure to world-leading technically advanced trading platforms, and to be part of the transformation of a small business into a world-leading franchise. You will work closely with colleagues involved in activities across the complete software lifecycle, as well as infrastructure and systems support staff. In addition, there is great potential to work with colleagues in other business areas within Capital Markets (such as FX, Prime Finance) to broaden the knowledge of all front-office products.The programme is critical to the growth plans of the rapidly expanding Futures business, allowing us to onboard new clients in a reliable and controlled fashion, as well as allowing us to meet new and emerging regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Full management responsibility of small development teams for the Futures risk technology program of projects. • Developing and evolving the new risk platform for front office trading and market risk management. • Requirements analysis and capture, working closely with the business users and managers to define solutions. • Liaison with global internal business, support and development teams. • Applying an understanding of Futures and OTC financial products to the full development lifecycle • Ownership of relationships with key vendors supplying some of the technology/solutions for Futures Risk Knowledge/Experience: • In-depth knowledge and experience of modern risk system development • In-depth knowledge and experience of the Futures/ETD agency business from Trading through to Settlement and Clearing. • Has developed and executed complex project plans. • Has assumed responsibility for employee professional development. • Proven ability to implement and manage a successful risk/control environment. • Leads by example in support of organizational initiatives by exhibiting in depth knowledge of technical issues and products. • Has evidence of commitment to process improvement, client service, control, and cost reduction.
