The GTS Risk Management team consists of a core group of credit and risk professionals who support the business in analyzing and managing risks in order to deliver valuable solutions to clients while maximizing revenues and risk adjusted returns. The team functions out of New York, London, Brazil and Hong Kong and has the support of an analyst team in Mumbai. Role Description: The GTS- Securities and Fund Services (SFS) Business provides investors, intermediaries and issuers with custody, clearing, depositary receipts, agency and trust services and funds administration services. The Global Deputy SFS Risk Manager (SFSDRM) will report to the Chief Risk Officer of SFS and will support in the risk oversight of products in the SFS Business. S/He will provide analysis and guidance to our partners across the organization in Product and Regional Management and Operations Technology on various risk issues as they arise. The SFSDRM will also work with our partners to ensure that the impact(s) of all risk disciplines (credit, market, operational and franchise) are understood and addressed. Responsibilities: SFS Portfolio Management: -Analyze and evaluate SFS' Risk Asset Portfolio- devise and direct risk mitigation solutions and actions to minimize the potential of credit and operating losses -Monitor significant high risk/ adversely classified exposures -Create, update and monitor compliance of credit and product programs -Evaluate and action core components of assets with capital requirements or Loan Loss Reserve implications -Provide oversight in the evaluation of operational losses Product and Business Development: -Advise Product and Client Sales Managers on risks and policy issues -Support Product Managers by providing risk solutions during the development of new Products -Support Product Management in the development, realignment and expansion of Target Market and Risk Asset Acceptance Criteria in light of constantly changing economic and financial environment -Use prior risk experience with Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to assist SFS in the launch of new products/ services -Provide Risk leadership for the Fund Services Business, which supports investment professionals, including managers of mutual funds, closed-end funds, hedge funds and offshore funds: -Implement and maintain risk discipline for Products/ Product development, operational controls, and deal review -Be the Regulatory risk interface of the Business -Identify and evaluate high risk functions, including operational failures, vendor controls, AML/ KYC, and credit. -Participate in SFS Global/ Regional deal reviews and approvals -Provide approvals for Global/ Regional Product Programs and local addendums to Global Product -Approval Programs Strategic Support -Support global projects headed by the SFS and/or GTS Risk teams -Facilitate the development of risk culture within the SFS Business -Participate in the development and delivery of GTS Risk training throughout the GTS, Relationship Management, GIRM and FIRM organizations. Credit Approvals -Help structure, approve and control clearing facilities for higher risk clients -Monitor and facilitate the repayment of overdraft positions of high risk clients as well as overdrafts with durations that exceed acceptable levels -Assist in providing Business SCO oversight for intraday excess approval-Graduate degree in Business/ Finance/ Accounting/ Economics preferred -Senior Credit Officer or Credit Officer with at least 5 years of client evaluation and credit analysis experience -In depth knowledge and 5 years risk experience in the Funds Services and ETF businesses including Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds and Private Equity Funds -Completion of Advanced Risk course or equivalent -In depth knowledge of key ICG Risk policies including Credit, Country and Cross Border working knowledge of payment systems networks -Ability to exercise sound, timely and independent judgment -Excellent written and oral communication skills with all management levels essential; -Influencing skills/persuasiveness -Excellent knowledge of Banking products, in particular GTS products and services | Employment Type: | Full Time | Region/Country: | Americas, United States | City: | New York | Address: | Post Date: | 03/14/2012 |
