Job Background/Context:

• FREE (Flow Re-engineering) is the strategic toolset used within the firm for flow Fixed Income pricing and risk. Currently some of core tools have been deployed into Tokyo and Sydney with limited local customizations and there is strong business demand for enhancements to cater for specific regional requirements and also for deployment of the full application set.

Key Responsibilities:

• Senior role in re-engineering pricing and risk management for the AsiaPac flow trading desks
• Design, development and testing of components in Java
• Liaison with global internal business, support and development teams
• Coordination and involvement in global testing and scheduling of application rollouts

Knowledge/Experience:

• Good business analysis and problem solving skills
• Familiar with the full software development lifecycle through proven delivery to a front office business
• Self-starter with pro-active attitude, looking to implement continuous improvement
• Basic Financial and Securities knowledge

Desirable:

• Fixed Income knowledge
• Familiarity with flow Fixed Income products, e.g. bonds, futures, swaps

Skills:

• Core Java development in an Unix environment
• Unix/Linux scripting
• Relational Database (preferably Sybase)

Desirable:

• Middleware - RV, MQ, EMS
• MarketView and MarketView API experience

Competencies:

• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with other members of the department and other technology teams
• Ability to prioritise and deliver in a pressured environment
• Effectively communicate and work with a global team
