Citi Cards' Transformation Management Office (TMO) is a team of skilled project management professionals who a) ensure the alignment of business, operations technology resources with business priorities, b) track project progress and maintain a transparent view of initiative status, and c) partner with CitiCards businesses and apply best practice project management techniques to ensure the effective execution and realization of business initiatives. The team plays a critical role in the management of game changing business initiatives that involve the development of new products and services, the deployment of innovative technologies, and the transformation of business infrastructure and processes. The team interfaces with all levels of management and coordinates the activities of CitiCards business teams and Operations, Technology, Risk Management and Analytic functions. In addition, the team coordinates project execution with internal Citi partners that include the Consumer Bank, Personal Wealth Management, Retail Partner Cards, International Cards, Global Transaction Services and Enterprise-Wide Payments, and external partners that include MasterCard, Visa, Amex, FICO, a wide range of technology providers, and key players in Internet and Mobile Financial Services. Position Summary The Project Manager will manage multiple projects simultaneously and will be responsible for driving overall progress. Projects may include new product or service launches, the deployment of new technologies, process or infrastructure re-engineering, customer experience re-design, etc. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to understand needs, to charter projects, to identify team membership, and to create and manage project plans Lead project meetings with well-defined agendas. Facilitate discussions, elicit clear decisions and produce meeting minutes
• Own specific project deliverables or assist with deliverables to ensure project momentum. • Understand stakeholder expectations and maintain clear and effective communications to ensure awareness and engagement. • Manage project risks and mitigate delays or dilution of project benefits. • Escalate issues in a timely manner as needed. • Ensure project adherence to policies and process requirements, e.g., IT prioritization, funding approvals, information security policies, compliance policies, vendor management policies, and others as applicable. • Drive the activities of cross-function, cross-business, and partner teams to ensure project success. • Assist TMO in managing all projects optimally by providing insights on cross-project dependencies, learnings, methodologies and resources that can be helpful to any project in the TMO pipeline • Participate in and facilitate ideation sessions and assist with strategic analysis and presentations for senior executives • Analyze business situations and opportunities to build the case for action • Apply TMO project management framework to ensure successful execution and enhance the framework with learnings and best practices • Innovate solutions by keeping a pulse on internal and external capabilities • Build a broad network of contacts across the businessDesired Attributes • Able to negotiate at all levels of the organization • Able to bridge multiple perspectives and synthesize win-win outcomes • Able to thrive in a fast paced/ever changing environment • Able to communicate in a clear and compelling manner • Strong facilitation and presentation skills • Ability to effectively manage projects and people through remote interactions • Able to effectively deploy project management tools and processes • Able to operate at a high energy level and exude optimism, persistence, and resilience • Understands business financials and operating metrics Qualifications • 5 years experience leading large scale, cross-functional projects and programs within in a financial institution • Management Consulting experience and/or PMP certification a plus • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft Project skills required. Strong Visio skills preferred • Education - BA, BS, MBA
