The charter of the fraud analytics role involves performing end to end analytics on fraud for the North America branded cards business. The team will work with the North America team for ongoing analysis, modeling and reporting around various types of frauds. The team will have an end to end responsibility around fraud analytics and will be involved in every facet of fraud analytics including reporting, monitoring, analysis and modeling. The incumbent is expected to have excellent knowledge of business processes and controls in the fraud management areas in the credit cards context; in conjunction the candidate is expected to be well versed in various analytical techniques like segmentation (using algorithms like CHAID, CART etc), model development, test VS control analysis etc. Strong working knowledge of SAS and SQL is also a must. In addition the candidate must have a good understanding of the credit card data environment including but not limited to transaction data, application data, billing data etc. Good communication and presentation skills are also an important requirement.Technical/business knowledge, experience, and skills:
Knowledge and experience in retail banking, consumer lending or credit cards in the analytics discipline across marketing and/or risk management.
Expertise in the usage of SAS for both data manipulation and model development.
Experience with modeling software - Eg: Enterprise miner, Knowledge seeker, Treenet etc.,
Non-technical knowledge, experience, and skills:
Good strategic thinking ability
Flexible attitude and openness to new ideas
Ability to command respect across the organization based on professionalism and expertise
Quick learner of new technologies and business functions
Good communication skills
Education:
Masters degree in Operations Research, Statistics or other Quantitative discipline from premier Indian and Global schools.
