BPA Intermediate Analyst - - This is a Production Support role for Citi Cards - Risk Credit Operations Production Support Team
- Coordinates scheduling, debugs, and maintains UNIX jobs and shell-scripts supporting operational functions. These UNIX jobs and associated applications involve diverse platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.
- Candidate will have responsibility for coordinating bi-monthly application release migrations and will support all aspects of production release implementations including user acceptance testing.
- Responsibility includes formulating and maintaining Maestro job schedules for UNIX Shell Scripts that execute SAS programs.
- May serve as Level 1 production support and on call for the daily, weekly, and monthly production cycles that meet informal Service Level Agreements.
- Performs planning and testing activities associated with all infrastructure upgrades and any ongoing 'green zone' maintenance, as required.
- Ensures application and processing activity meet information security and compliance standards.
- Responds to business processing issues in accordance with service level agreements.
- Logs errors and issues associated with migrations, releases, and production support.
- Serves as a fully seasoned/professional technical resource.
- Will not have direct reports but may lead activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
- Collaborates with members of the development teams to coordinate delivery of software application.
- Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.
- Works under minimal supervision, with limited guidance.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills are essential
- Excellent customer service orientation, interpersonal skills and ability to set priorities and work under pressure
- Has to be able to pay attention to details
- Experience in system life cycle methodology and testing
- Unix Experience Required: (1-3 years ) Understanding of Unix commands, file access, shell scripting
- Familiarity with Teradata Data Warehouse concepts and/or other DBMS platforms
- Familiarity with SAS and ability to read SAS logs
- Job Scheduler experience (1-3 years ) Maestro, Autosys, CA-7 is applicable
- Knowledge of Information Security Principles
