Manages a medium-large segment or unit(s) of a product line and/or function of the company's operations activities. Functions managed typically have a high degree of monetary exposure due to transaction size and critical daily production windows which can impact client relationships. Oversees daily activities and ensures adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g. transaction research). Develops and implements new processes/procedures to improve operating efficiency and to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workflow. Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations in the areas more efficient. Manages performance for their entire team, including Associate development, compensation decisions, and talent planning. Responsible for expense management, reporting and forecasting. Requires general knowledge of managing an operations area and may be used as a primary contributor in a variety of projects. Leads and directs the work of others and ensures staffing levels and capacity are appropriate to meet production requirements. Manages client, business and/or supplier relationships. Six Sigma/Lean experience preferred. Incumbents normally have 2-4 years of operational management experience. Directly manages 4-12 associates and has a department of 40 - 100 associates and may cover multiple shifts/sites. Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.
Additional Information:
Perform shift operation, financial, risk and compliance, benchmarking; and human resource management as part of 5-member team, responsible for 24-7 high volume wholesale lockbox site. Lead 2 exempt team managers in a quality-sensitive and production-driven environment, that are responsible for day-to-day team operations within wholesale lockbox operations, utilizing 40+ full-time and part-time staffing positions.
Areas of responsibility include accountability for Day shift processing of deposit-related deliverables for the Dallas Wholesale Lockbox operation.. Drive for productivity and quality results within established goals and metrics, based on client expectations, internal benchmarks and financial projections. Manage vendor relationships for compliance with SLA, to ensure minimal impact from equipment downtime.
Partner with other LOB's to ensure both internal and external client satisfaction. Manage and contribute to client-focused activities (develop action plans, tours, conference calls and account implementations, etc).
Performance management, hiring, compensation administration and career development guidance. Lead and contribute to process improvement and cost saving project efforts within and across hierarchical lines, to drive results at site and national levels. Strategic planning and forecasting for managing corporate customer Lockbox relationship.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Operational experience including the management of exempt level associates. Strong Leadership skills with proven track record of achieving departmental goals while providing a positive work environment for associates. Strong financial/budgetary experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Associate focused and team oriented. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Must be analytical and able to rapidly adapt to change. Must be able to off shift hours occasionally and present a professional image through personal conduct. Must lead by example, and demonstrate impeccable follow up skills. Must have with Microsoft Excel and Word. Must have demonstrated sound client care skills in a related position. Project Management experience is a plus. Previous Lockbox knowledge will be considered.
