Manages a group of analysts that are responsible for performing strategic analysis to improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting and operational performance for consumer products and related divisions, such as credit cards. This position requires determining key priorities for their team while also providing analytical and technical guidance to analysts to drive project completion. Key functions involve developing asset quality monitoring, identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, and executing strategic enhancements. Manages the team's analysis focusing on criteria margins, model score use, forecasting, portfolio trends, and demographic performance. Responsible for conducting interviews, training Card Strategy/ Consumer Products Analysts, and guiding all aspects of project development. Communicates business trends creates financial assessments and interprets analytics for senior management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team. Sound knowledge of SAS / SQL, financial statements, and business processes preferred. 5+ years Strategy Management experience preferred.
Responsible for managing a team of 3-5 analysts focusing on the operational design, coding, and execution of USCC new account underwriting strategies.
Near term priorities are building the following processes: - Interactive Credit Application Improvement project (Banking Centers and eComm)
- Application modifications across channels - highlighting eComm
- Remote Lending
- Income modeling (internal and 3rd parties)
- Customer Level Offers (C3 / CIM)
- Execution of multiple statistical models in underwriting and passive preapproval
Works with Credit, Risk Strategies, Marketing, and the CSBB and Enterprise Technology groups to devise solutions solving business problems - by improving BAC's underwriting processes and decision engine platforms.
Directs major changes to process flows, platform design, decisioning code, strategy waterfalls and other process documents - to drive material changes improving our business.
Identifies best demonstrated practices from the industry and other LOBs and applies them to CSBB's business. Shares best demonstrated practices with other LOBs.
Leads a team that acquires and analyzes information from databases and transaction sampling to code, test, and perform post-release quality control certification. Creates systemic process control reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency of customer treatment vs. intentions.
Strong attention to detail and the aptitude and desire to work in data-based environments is required. Data is sourced through numerous platforms using basic-to-intermediate SQL/SAS skills that can be learned while in the position.
Self-starting, directing peers and partners, and other leadership qualities and experiences are a must for this position. Qualifications Required Skills: - Strong working knowledge of consumer lending statistical principles, concepts, and regulatory/policy guidance.
