Leads and or provides expertise on corporate change projects / initiatives that impact typically a single lines of business, executive and / or project teams for medium complexity projects. Projects can have 1) major influence on the quality and timeliness of products or services, or impact the financial performance of the business unit and 2) require cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation. Change Consultant is responsible for analyzing present state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Typically 3 or more years of experience in change or project management preferred. Project management certification or equivalent experience preferred.

Key contributor; Provides input based on expertise relating to small to mid-size corporate change initiatives that impact single function or process change within a department. Normally, initiatives limited in scope to department products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Some may also have significant impact on the ability of the department to effectively deliver products or services. All require cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation. A Change Consultant is responsible for analyzing information, incorporating client problems and concerns, developing and implementing solutions. Also responsible for ensuring effectiveness of implemented changes and solutions. May provide input on staffing and budget allocation but does not have actual staffing, performance management and compensation decision-making responsibilities for team. Typically has 3 or more years of experience in change management preferred. Project management certification or equivalent experience preferred.

Job Posting Description (JPD):

As the Change Consultant/Manager you will manage mid-size projects relating to corporate change initiatives that impact a single major business or function. This position will be responsible for end to end planning, implementation, training and adoption across the business, technology, operations and support functions.

You will direct and manage overall project status, budget, resources, change controls and risks. You will partner with the Business, Technology and Functional Teams to deliver objectives.

Position typically includes initiatives limited in scope to department products, processes or functions, although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Some projects may also have significant impact on the ability of the department to effectively deliver products or services.

Qualifications


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years change management / project management experience
  • Solid project management knowledge/experience and demonstrated skill successfully leading projects
  • Candidates must have an attention for detail, the ability to learn quickly, excellent time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional and positive attitude
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proven success communicating with and influencing associates at all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of matrix management and ability to leverage/ influence resources across teams without direct accountability to accomplish goals
  • Solid experience providing estimates of time and required resources to complete assigned projects.
  • Experience in development of work breakdown structures and monitoring project progressions
  • Excellent problem solving, conceptual thinking quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience simultaneously managing multiple efforts
  • Demonstrated / measurable success in leading projects/initiatives
  • Proficiency using Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel including macros, graphs, and pivot charts.
  • 3-5 years of Project/Change Management
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Visio and Project)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate problem status to senior management
  • Must be able to translate plans/policies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables
  • Experience with Enterprise Change Management Systems
  • Plans, prepares for, and effectively facilitates team meetings and presentations
  • Applies all aspects of program/project management: resource planning, work breakdown, risk/issue management, financial management, implementation planning, testing, training/communication, etc.
  • Ability to Learn the business partner/client's business, systems and operations; brings the voice of the customer into the project
