Reporting Quality Control Manager -This is a newly created role that has scope over: developing and conducting quality controls efforts to maintain consistency and stability of business reports through review of report format for accuracy, and ensure compliance with reporting standards as well as applicable regulatory guidelines.
Specifically:
- Conduct QC review of production reports for compliance, based on defined set of quality attributes.
- Produce assessments for remediation that will be executed by reporting teams and other related partners.
- Initial focus is to help with design of a Quality Control model (QC) to assess key reports.
- Regularly schedule, plan and test existing reports (from active inventory of key reports) then document findings. Based on input from Reporting Data Governance, Reporting Standards, and other applicable guidelines (using approved QC metrics and targets).
- Communicate QC assessment to key partners for remediation. Key partners include: Report Managers; Reporting Standards; Reporting Data Governance, Audit, Policy & Procedures; business units.
- Provide input on to a quarterly dashboard for management to check QC progress status on key business reports.
- During the implementation of Quality Controls, will work closely with consultants, peers, and other teams to ensure participation of key stakeholders such as report managers and business analysts, key partners such as Reporting Inventory, Governance and Quality Control. Obtains strong Communication skills (both written and verbal) regarding additional information and/or basic follow-up with the requesting party will be ongoing. Will build and maintain relationships with internal BAC teams. Will support and contribute to the reporting governance processes.
Legal Description Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS an//or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.
Qualifications Required Skills:
5 + years Experience
Detailed background in data integration, application connectivity, and data aggregation.
Ability to interact between application developers and DBA/Database developers.
Database knowledge including DB queries.
Strong background in high frequency systems and data-feeds, including market data and internal feeds or Development DBA with experience in performance tuning, SAN, and Cluster.
Experience supporting financial applications including capital markets. Informatica, ETL, experience with financial data.
Must have detailed experience with Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Teradata, or SQL databases.
Knowledge of data mining, data warehouse, and data marts.
