Supports the servicing of mortgage loans. Supervises the execution of transactions and responses to customer, investor, or 3rd party related inquires. First level of management, supervising day to day activities of a team of 2-20 Servicing associates. Has an in-depth understanding of governing rules and regulations and the implication of processes on other groups within the department and other divisions in the firm. Work responsibilities are similar to Mortgage Servicing Team Manager (OK305) but typically oversees a more complex work function such as end to end Pod/Performance teams, Asset Manager teams, Investor Reporting teams, etc. Team Manager II does not have Team Manager direct reports. Typically will have more than 5-7 years experience with a working knowledge of the mortgage business with 1-3 years as manager.
Additional Information:
May manage multiple functions within an area and may have lower level associates reporting to them. Key responsibilities include supervision of associates in their day-to-day functions of resolving problems and executing transactions within specific operations units requiring immediate and frequent involvement with unit activities. Other key responsibilities will include motivating, coaching and developing associates to achieve optimal performance results. Performs all managerial functions, leads project work, and continually utilizes independent judgment. Typically 3-5 years of Mortgage Servicing and/or Operations experience. Required Skills:
Demonstrated leadership experience of 1 to 2 years. Superior people and leadership skills. Proven ability to coach, train, evaluate and counsel staff. Must be results/goal driven and a team player able to lead associates to perform. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid computer skills and web navigation including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Interpersonal effectiveness with ability to build and maintain relationships. Attention to detail, strong organization and time management is a must. Adaptability to manage multiple tasks/projects within deadline and budget constraints Excellent analytical skills Detail oriented and organized Comfortable and effective when presenting concepts and updates to diverse levels of management Professional savvy in managing peer relationships and aligning enterprise resources Previous team leader role
Desired Skills:
Mortgage experience preferred. Experience working in a Loss Mitigation/Mtg. Default Servicing environment preferred. Ability to embrace change with a positive approach. Solid mathematical and analytical skills.. 1-3 years of Management/Leadership experience preferred 3-5 years of Sales or Operations and Analytical experience preferred
