Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS an//or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.

This position will be responsible for managing significant reporting needs within the Loan Modification Reporting team. Responsibilities include sourcing new data, defining new processes and working with Project Managers and Business owners to instantiate those improvements.

This position will be an expert problem solver who can be thrown at programmatic issues and come back with solutions in hand while being very comfortable working with data. Specifically, this person will regularly apply skills in data visualization and story telling from the analysis performed through industry standard data manipulation and analytics tools like SQL Server, advanced MS Excel with data integration and Cognos. This person will regularly own multi-week and short-term ad-hoc projects, and will utilize their skills in project management. As a key interface with internal operational business partners, this person will utilize keen business acumen to understand and relate the business process implications and to present those at an executive level.

This person has a high aptitude and tolerance for adaptability in a dynamic environment where focus changes regularly.

The successful candidate will have solid experience with SQL Server and multiple data sources. The candidate should also have a track record of being able to link data to process and translate that knowledge to knowing what is necessary to deliver reporting needed by the business. Experience translating business process into and from data is critical.

Qualifications



Required Skills:

  • SQL Server, DTS/SSIS, Cognos and related analytics tools. Expert in MS Excel.
  • Advanced database manipulation including data identification, preparation, collection and extraction. Ability to quickly learn new enterprise data tables and gain familiarity / ensure data integrity in an efficient manner.
  • Analyze data, create concise reporting views and make subsequent recommendations on improving business operations based on findings. Includes ability to rapidly assess the problem, develop a solution and move it into production with a report back to the partner on business impacts.
  • Create and maintain reports and documentation; develop reporting-based views as well as power point decks for knowledge sharing; develop process and technical documentation from existing reports, stored procedures and queries.
  • Expert ability in SQL 2008, Excel 2007+ (db integration, VBA, graphing, pivoting), Statistical graphing and reporting.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in Mortgage processing and loan modification processes
  • Process engineering, six sigma, lean manufacturing experience

  • Mastery of iSeries Data
