Specific Responsibilities - Support implementation and business-as-usual (BAU) process of Default Validation by providing testing and support as needed. Individual will be responsible for supplying data using advanced data queries and analysis to assist with ensuring accurate default data for the enterprise, providing monthly tracking metrics and evaluating overall integrity of the process.
- Support any default data transmissions to ensure accuracy
- Support future technical projects including defining requirements, supporting testing efforts and deployment. Support BAU efforts by maintaining control tables, checklists required by audit and providing user support as needed.
- Assist with default data reconciliation efforts related to capital parameterization and Risk Rating Scorecard development and assessment (e.g., back testing).
- Identify gaps or needed refinements in default data processes or data flows. Lead new projects as needed to improve the quality of default data.
- Ensure documentation remains accurate and current.
General Description
May manage or supervise a small group. Proactively monitor and remediate incoming data used in risk measurement and reporting. Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data on a daily basis. Work with business data users to define the use of data within risk systems. Work closely with technology to ensure the timely and accurate operation of risk models and reporting systems. Implement effective risk controls of our data processes and systems. Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes. Work with other groups as needed, including Middle Office, Sales and Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data for GMRM. Qualifications Required Skills - Candidate must demonstrate large data management skills utilizing both SAS and SQL, basic project management and both strategic and creative thinking
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency with SQL and SAS; good proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
- Ability to work independently while functioning collaboratively as part of a larger team
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Aptitude to learn new tools going forward
Desired Skills - Familiarity with the Bank of America (BAC) commercial wholesale risk rating process and BAC commercial lending organization
- Functional use of Enterprise Credit Risk Information System (ECRIS) tables/views and Teradata (The W)
- Knowledge of BAC organizational hierarchy
