General Description: The Compliance Specialist assist in overseeing Compliance Risk Management in a Home Loans/Legacy Asset Services (HL/LAS) business unit specifically covering Loan Servicing. Role reports through the HL/LAS Senior Compliance Manager. The Compliance Specialist assist in the management and operation of Compliance Risk Management programs within a core function of the Home Loans business. Responsible for knowing and independently enforcing compliance with the applicable rules and standards for the line of business to which they are aligned; developing compliance policies aligned to the rules and standards; proactively identifying and measuring risks through control assessments, independently monitoring and managing testing; holding the business accountable for risk mitigation and remediation efforts; conducting regular management routines with business leaders; timely escalation of key risks and issues including compliance, emerging and reputational. Partners with peers in Rules and Standards, Testing, Regulatory Relations and Governance Reporting to deliver independent compliance risk management required for core process area of responsibility.
