We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for both Senior Business Analysts and Business Analysts in both Wellington and Auckland. You'll be responsible for delivering high quality business analysis, recommendations and requirements to ensure that systems are designed and maintained to meet the needs of the business in line with both the technology and business objectives.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Plan, estimate, prioritise, coordinate and implement change according to agreed standards and using agreed business analysis processes and tools for all aspects of the Project/System Development Life Cycle including post implementation support
  • Build positive working relationships with business stakeholders across BNZ at a variety of levels within the organisation
  • Support management in recognising opportunities for stakeholders to leverage from existing system functionality and make recommendations to increase the use and usability of the systems including required business process changes
  • Where applicable, co-ordinate and support change management activities, including reviewing/developing end user documentation (communication and training material), to support efficient and effective use of system functionality.
  • Provide interpretation of technical information to business units and business information to technical teams

Key skills and experience desired:

  • Proven track record in a business analyst role
  • Experience working in both process & system delivered change projects
  • Project / Change management experience
  • Experience using Agile Development methodologies is highly desirable 
  • Knowledge of  banking products and processes beneficial

Key to success in this role is strong communication and influencing skills as you will be dealing with multiple stakeholders at all levels. You will need to possess a minimum 2 - 5 years BA experience in relevant project or technology environment or have a good understanding of the internal workings of BNZ and a real drive and passion to move into a BA environment.
