You will also support improvements to the GCOO Control Environment overall. These improvements will include: risk management through new or enhanced controls as well as improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of controls. The role of Control Environment Analyst will also liaise with all specialist Governance and Control Utility teams (Information Risk Management, Operational Risk, 3 rd Party Assurance, Business Resilience and the Design Team) to execute effectively these services. To be successful in this role, ideally, you will need to have a strong knowledge of controls assurance and determining control criticality as well as being accountable for the associated judgements made. (This includes both technical and operational controls). You will also have knowledge and experience of 3 rd party Controls Assurance. Naturally, you will understand retail banking operations and the financial services industry in general and will bring experience of relevant policies and standards and industry practice.
