Key Accountabilities & approximate time split (%)

· Manage test project by working closely with the project/application team, and understand project requirements

· Prepare Master Test strategy, Estimations, Costs and Schedule. Ensure the test is defined and estimated at a optimum level to meet required quality and time to market

· Track project financials, progress and take corrective actions proactively

· Prepare test plan, test schedule, manage day-to-day test activities, delegation to test engineers, and ensure work done according to schedule

· Accountable for assigned project deliverables, including test reporting (test statistics, measurement, etc) to the reporting manager when required

· Responsible for extending the governance for all the other testing phases of the projects like CIT/System testing/UAT/OAT

· Identify Test environment requirements and liaise appropriate team(s)

· Create the required environment; and organize and facilitate system walk through and business and technical overviews

· Write accurate defect reports, facilitate problem resolution, and verify fixes

· Conduct reviews and inspections of project deliverables and provide feedback

· Communicate and follow-up with other application teams to track deliverable during test planning and execution phases where applicable

· Ensure the quality and timeliness of delivery of testing assignments

· Minimize the risk of production systems failure by pre-testing the intended functionality and integration of new systems and system changes

· Track all aspects of the project - scope, schedule, effort, staff, risks, issues etc. Identify corrective and preventive actions Re-plan in case of deviation.

· Ensure overall process adherence on organization wide guidelines for delivery, operations and quality.

· Responsible for resource management activities within the projects and ensure effective utilization

· Assess risk and provide advice regarding the readiness of a system or component to be released for production

· Meeting entry and exit criteria reviews.

· Daily, Weekly and Regular (as appropriate reporting)

· Ensure projects build reusable components and also reuse testware from appropriate sources

· Automation to be implemented at every appropriate opportunity

· Implement innovative and create test solutions and approach using industry techniques and variants of industry techniques which can be applicable

· Being responsive to Customer needs, as well as managing Customer Expectations

· Managing the test requirements, and changes in a manner that the Impact of Changes to the project is well understood, and approval for making changes is provided only by the body empowered to do so after fully understanding the impact of the changes

· Establishing a relationship with stakeholders (internal and external to GTS), Internal customers and other groups

Person Specification

· Extensive test management experience

· Experience of working on Banking/Financial/Payments/Cards domain

· Experience of independently managing test projects

· Should have good project management skills.

· Presentation skills

· Management reporting, status reporting and test metrics skills

· Test estimations and Budgeting

· Ensuring the defect management process is followed and correct priorities / severities are assigned

· Should have End to End banking processes exposure

· Experience in managing multiple cross functional and technical teams from multiple vendors and internal departments in executing turnkey projects

· Extensive exposure in executing projects, product implementation and application development in banking

· Strong exposure to Testing and QA areas.

· Should have had experience of working with cross cultural teams at multi locations.

· Should have excellent conflict management skills and generate trust and respect in team

· Excellent Written & Verbal Communications

· Excellent Team Leading / Resource Management skills

· Educational Qualification: BE ( CS or any stream )

· Certification: ISTQB/CSTE / CSQA / PMI.
