Overall Job Purpose Support Group Money Laundering Reporting Officer (GMLRO) and Risk Assessment Director in understanding and articulating the risk of Barclays Group businesses breaching anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABC) (together referred to as Financial Crime) requirements and the controls by which these risks are mitigated Key Accountabilities - Develop and maintain methodologies, systems, reports and analyses which expose and record Financial Crime risk in our businesses - emphasis on incisive thinking and analysis and high quality reporting and communication of a standard that can be shared with the firm's top executive management
- Collate risk identification sources which illuminate Financial Crime risk and enhance systems and processes for summarising risks and making the management of them actionable.
- Work with Businesses to map and understand the controls through which Financial Crime risk is mitigated, seeking synergies for addressing common issues.
- Undertake oversight (including robust challenge, crystal clarity, timely escalation) of business responses to identified risks (including monitoring of Action Plans), highlighting opportunities for enhancing systems and processes and achieving consistency of management of common risks and issues
- Establish, maintain and develop systems, procedures and documentation of the end-to-end processes for risk assessment and management.
- Manage interaction with stakeholders that span multiple businesses, functions and geographies within the firm. Work to strengthen the profile and presence of AML to support the overall functioning of the Group AML systems and controls.
- Develop and Maintain expert knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory obligations alongside commercial business drivers - contribute this knowledge to the identification and research of approaches which provide cost-effective improvements in risk management
- Be a contributing member of the GMLRO team.
