Keep risk management a top priority As a Barclays Governance and Risk Assurance Manager, you'll make sure that we stay vigilant and keep on top of existing and potential risks to our retail operations business. We'll be counting on your knowledge to help us deliver strong yet flexible control environments in a rapidly changing regulatory climate. What you'll give our customers as a Governance and Risk Assurance Manager You'll assess risks and oversee our most important governance commitments, while planning education and awareness activities that will maintain a risk-aware culture in the business. That will involve making sure we adhere to all risk-related policies across every business area -especially SOX testing. What's more, we'll count on you to provide effective reporting and analysis to high-level stakeholders, keeping them informed and proving we're fully compliant with the defined governance framework. In addition, you'll provide coaching and support on a daily basis for governance and risk assurance analysts as well as represent Barclays at key control and governance forums. What you'll need as a Governance and Risk Assurance Manager The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need extensive risk assessment experience and a track record of successful stakeholder management. A detailed understanding of control frameworks and operational risks is a must, as is a solid knowledge of the components of identification, assessment and control.
