Responsibilities Columbia Management is responsible for managing $302[1] billion in assets for retail, high net worth and institutional clients and is the 8th largest manager of long-term U.S. mutual funds[2]. We offer our clients an extensive product array that includes fundamental and quantitative equity strategies, taxable and tax-exempt fixed income, alternatives and private fund offerings. In support of this, two cornerstones of our investment process are our focus on risk management and independent and in-depth research. Columbia has 320[3] investment professionals located across the United States, including Boston, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City and Portland, including 145[4] fundamental and quantitative analysts. Responsibilities: • Fundamental equity and credit research responsibility for U.S publicly traded companies • Use independent research sources/data to support fundamental views • Create and maintain predictive financial models for companies being followed • Collaborate with research groups in Boston, New York, Portland and Minneapolis • Work directly with the Head of Equity to complete various projects as assigned • Display energy and personal commitment Required Qualifications • MBA or M.S. Finance candidate between 1st and 2nd year Preferred Qualifications • Some company analysis or personal investment experience, with international experience preferred • Outstanding analytical capabilities • Creative problem solving ability • Strong, proactive communication skills • High energy level and team work orientation Disclosure Brokerage, investment and financial advisory services are made available through Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc.
