We have an exciting opportunity for a Resident Sales Director (RSD) for our Greater New York Market, which includes, New York NY, Jericho NY, Stamford CT, and the Parsippany NJ offices. -Drive growth: Achieve or exceed the office's quarterly and annual new business revenue goals; -Support the execution of the National Sales and Marketing platform and initiatives; -Oversee the development and ongoing implementation and quarterly updates of actionable annual individual and Office Sales and Marketing Plans; -Develop and maintain a sales-focused culture across the office's personnel; -Maintain an accurate in all details pipeline of new business development for confident revenue forecasting and beneficial sales metric analysis; -Monitor and assess ongoing new business results and related pipeline activity tracking across the office's personnel, and promptly anticipate and address negative new business variances or trends and/or activity issues; -Forecast new business monthly and quarterly with accuracy; -Mentor and develop, problem-solve and strategize with the office's producers, Account Executives, and broking leaders to create, develop and close specific revenue opportunities; -Maintain a fair marketplace in terms of prospect allocation across the office and firm's resources and follow protocols for pipeline documentation and production credit disputes; -Create, tailor and/or execute marketing campaigns including email campaigns, mailings, seminars, webinars, seminars, roundtables and Forums to drive revenue opportunities tailored to the office's new business priorities and market area(s); -Educate producers, Account Executives, and broking leaders on new products, approaches, services and solutions and Aon's capabilities and thought leadership with training on the segment or client applicability and recommended dialoguing with clients and prospects; -Work with the Account Executive Leader to ensure that the office's clients and prospects receive regular written communication applicable to their business(es), exposures and needs; -Recruit and present your recommendation and business plan for the best business development personnel (producers, Account Executives and support personnel to enable others to produce more) for the market area's needs; -Onboard business developers with a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities and specified sales goals, and training on Salesforce.com, Aon's office, national and global resources and systems; -Identify and nurture focus centers of influence in the accounting, legal, financial and other segments of the business community in the office's market areas for office-wide collaboration and referral; -Ensure that Aon has earned all or the majority of its middle market clients' risk management, and, where applicable, employee benefits, wallet or spend. -Ensure that Aon has earned a majority of its large clients' risk management, and, where applicable, employee benefits, wallet or spend. -Communicate innovative approaches, best practices, market and competitor trends nationally . Duties: -Cultivate and encourage active collaboration, problem-solving and best-practice sharing among producers and Account Executives in the office's market area(s); -Maintain a consistent and frequent schedule of visits to satellite offices (where applicable) for participation in prospect/client calls, coaching/training, participation in sales meetings, pipeline and activity reviews, etc. -Coordination of improved linkages between the office(s) and the relevant industry and product practices -Lead the performance management process (goal-setting, review and appraisal, contract review, bonus determination) for producers, Account Executives and the SMC (in coordination with the Account Executive Leader for Account Executives); -Communicate and assist in the administration of Incentive Compensation Plans across Market Area offices (interpret and apply new business definitions, income recognition, conflicts and splits per Company policy; seek National Sales Leadership guidance for exceptional cases) -Fulfill personal production responsibilities -Support the development and connectivity of the Sales & Marketing Coordinator(s) ("SMC"(s)) across the assigned Market Areas Skills: -Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate personnel -Exceptional verbal communication and presentation -Ability to clearly articulate complex messages in written form -Multi-faceted negotiation -Teamwork -Project management -Innovative thinking Experience: -5-10 years of sales leadership or industry leadership -Active involvement in the development and maintenance of a productive sales and marketing culture -3-5 years of personnel management, preferably management of sales personnel -3-5 years of strategic business planning -Track record of business unit revenue growth and achievement of new business goals -Collaboration across U.S. and global platforms -Personal development of complex product or service business sales, preferably with both middle market and large corporations Aon offers competitive compensation, exceptional benefits, continuing education & training, a unique internal advancement program, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. | Employment Type: | Full Time | Region/Country: | Americas, United States | States/Counties: | New York | City: | New York City | Address: | Post Date: | 05/17/2012 |
