INTRODUCTION: Aon Risk Consulting has an exciting career opportunity for a Risk Manager. This position will be an outsourced role serving an Aon client located in downtown Chicago

POSITION SUMMARY: The Risk Manager will be outsourced to Jones Lang LaSalle providing outsourced risk management consulting services, primarily in the following areas; negotiation of corporate insurance contract terms and conditions. As the risk manager for JLL you will be responsible for the review of leases, vendor and other contract wordings, preparation of underwriting submissions, broker relations. Manage risk management intranet website content. Position is located in downtown Chicago.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The Sr. Consultant demonstrates a thorough knowledge of general insurance, including property, liability, workers compensation, D&O, E&O, construction and wrap up coverage. Demonstrate an awareness of new issues in the field of risk management. Demonstrate strong communication skills, written and oral. Written skills will include the ability to draft directives to property managers, write general correspondence of a caliber generally required by professionals, and use written communication to effectively explain positions taken in conjunction with contract negotiations. There will be a proficiency in standard written language. Verbal skills will include the ability to explain technical insurance issues in "plain English", to discuss insurance and general business concepts relating to leases, agreements and contracts, and the ability to negotiate effectively with attorneys and clients on behalf of the firm. Exhibit the interpersonal skills needed to maintain good working relationships with brokers, carriers, vendors, clients and all levels of employees. Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility regarding assignments, responsiveness to the firm's needs and the needs of its clients, and a generally positive attitude toward the firm and the risk management department. Demonstrate a good work ethic, i.e., punctuality and regular attendance through prior work history.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five to eight years' experience within a risk management environment, insurance company or brokerage experience handling national or accounts.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management field. CRM, ARM designation, CPCU coursework a plus.
