Aon Re Services is the technical consulting arm of Aon Re, the world's largest reinsurance intermediary. It is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals with expertise in actuarial science, accounting, tax, insurance/securities law, underwriting, catastrophe modeling and financial disciplines. Aon Re Services is fully involved in all aspects of the broking process, from origination (winning and growing clients) through structuring (designing products to solve risk management/financing problems) to execution (placing these products with reinsurers and investors).

Description of Duties & Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of reinsurance products, while becoming familiar with various catastrophe models used to assess the risk of client portfolios and assist in the presentation of Aon Re's solutions and services to our clients. The analyst will be responsible for the creation of analytical reports, including the formatting and analyzing of large data sets using sophisticated models and tools. Specific duties include:

• Assisting Aon Re brokers in risk assessment and risk management consulting for Aon Re clients
• Running catastrophe models from RMS/AIR/EQE/IF for portfolio risk analyses in support of the world's largest reinsurance broker - Aon Re Global
• Preparing property insurance policy data for catastrophe risk analysis using MS Access, SQL Query and data conversion tools
• Developing and use proprietary software to design and management catastrophe reinsurance programs
• Responding to brokers, clients, and reinsurers on issues and questions relating to risk analysis
• Providing real-time loss estimates of actual catastrophic events, such as the recent Japan earthquake
• Preparing and send cat risk assessment data to reinsurers and participate in reinsurance market calls
• Assisting clients in the understanding of catastrophe risks, sensitivity studies, and added analytics based on catastrophe model results
• Assisting managers in enhancing relationships with clients

Qualifications :

Minimum Education Required: BS/BA Degree

Minimum Work Experience Required: 0-4 years experience in insurance or related field.

Special Skills Required: Personal computer skills; proficiency in use of MS Access, SQL Query, MS Excel, or MS PowerPoint will be a plus.
