Currently we have a Sales & Marketing Consultant position in our San Francisco office. Candidates should be self-starters, highly motivated, goal-oriented with 5 years of BTB marketing experience including electronic campaigns, event management, ROI and lead tracking; knowledge of sfdc helpful. Duties and Responsibilities The SMC will drive sales and marketing activities in North Carolina. The SMC will report directly to the office's Resident Sales Director (RSD) and the office Resident Managing Director (RMD), with dotted line reporting to the National Sales & Marketing Team. The SMC is expected to assist in achieving office-based sales goals through the following duties and responsibilities: I. Sales Operations and SalesForce.com (SFDC) With the support of a salesforce.com operations specialist: - Work with the office's RSD, RMD, local team and finance team to ensure SFDC opportunity and contact data is accurate.
- Participate in bi-monthly office sales meetings along with the RSD, including resource identification, report preparation, and providing an overview of marketing activities
- Produce customized SFDC sales reports, , and dashboards (for local and national leadership
- Assist the RSD with assigning/reassigning/clearing prospects for producers and AEs;
- Provide user support, and SFDC training on an ongoing basis, as needed;
- II. Marketing Operations - Based upon a thorough understanding of Local Market Planning (LMP), office and company resources, the SMC will work with the RSD to recommend and finalize a local new business marketing plan (to be updated quarterly if required) in support of the office's Sales Plan; develop and implement new business marketing activities targeting prospects and clients and track progress for their office against LMP goals;
- Develop local campaigns (email campaigns, seminars, sponsorships, etc.); create appropriately customized target lists for each individual campaign; design invitations, follow up notices, agenda and registration material with support from Graphics team, book space (if needed); manage registration process and ensure follow up with attendees.
- Maintain a marketing activity calendar inclusive of local and national campaigns and work with the RSD to drive local activity against the marketing and sales plans, inclusive of creative suggestions for new marketing opportunities;
- Initiate and manage leads from marketing activities and other incoming lead sources by identifying and qualifying leads and opportunities, distributing or assigning them to sales for follow up, and ensuring documentation of all interactions in SFDC. Customize lead tracking and follow-up process. Track progress and ensure accurate flagging in SFDC for high quality back-end reporting, analysis and continuous improvement;
- Actively track campaign progress for the office and adjust strategy as needed with the RSD.
III. Producer and AE Management - Participate in producer and AE pipeline reviews to understand obstacles encountered and networking needs, and develop marketing ideas to assist with sales goals;
- Assist the RSD in preparing the Individual Sales and Marketing Plans and the Office Sales & Marketing Plan including quarterly updates;
IV. Request For Proposal(RFP) Responses and New Business Presentations - Drive the RFP response process in conjunction with leadership, including RFP vetting, opportunity strategy meetings, direction of the graphics team, coaching the sales presentation team prior to meetings, and conducting post-mortem meetings when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge on Aon's resources and engage these individuals for their expertise
- Work with product and practice leaders to identify content and tailor materials for presentations
- Liaise with the National Center of Excellence for their assistance with significant RFPs
- Develop and implement creative solutions for proposals and presentations
V. National Sales and Marketing Team - Participate in National Marketing and Sales strategic planning, informational and training events and calls; participate in SMC calls, and attend and contribute to SMC meetings.
- Liaise with the National Marketing and Sales Operations team to ensure consistent Aon branding, messaging, and production support; provide contributions to Marketing/Communication needs, and communicate and coordinate national campaigns locally
- Communicate regularly with the national SMC team to recommend and share best practices;
- Assist in the communication, distribution, training and follow-up of national initiatives to local offices within the region, including competitive intelligence and Aon compliance Contribute to strategic initiatives in national sales and marketing, including sales training & sales contests
- Contribute to, improve and maintain content on shared sales & marketing platforms. Capture, prepare, and share exemplary sales work, best practices, announcements, competitor intelligence, case studies, and testimonials.
