We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Consultant Risk Control Account Manager in our Jericho, NY office.

The Sr. Consultant Risk Control is a client Account Manager whose main responsibility is to manage the loss control services for various medium to large construction accounts in the tri-state area, and also assist in managing Warp-up insurance programs on large construction projects, such as airports, shopping malls, high rise buildings and civil projects. The position will require both local and out of state travel.

Account retention and service will be a critical area of job performance. The ability to work in a team with Account Executives, Claims Representatives and other Aon account associates will be a key to the success in this position. Reporting writing will be required on all assignments.

Some of the responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

• Ascertaining the loss control service needs of Aon's clients
• Developing loss control service plans based on client's needs, loss analysis, EMR's etc.
• Reviewing and analyzing Environmental Health and Safety Plans and developing new plans
• Conducting safety audits to ensure the client is in compliance with HASP requirements as well as Federal, State and City Regulations and providing a written report of the audit
• Conducting safety training sessions
• Working with insurance carriers to ensure that they are providing the required loss control services to our clients
• Assisting in ensuring that contractors comply with OCIP written Health and Safety Program guidelines
• Working on developing safety sections for RFP's and attending prospect and client presentations.
• Assist in implementing and enforcing company wide and site specific safety programs for individual companies and Wrap-up programs
• Investigate and analyze losses and develop specific service plans to assist the client in achieving their goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA or BS with 5 to 10 years Health and Safety experience in Heavy Construction and Environmental work (or 10 to 20 years without degree). BS in Safety Sciences preferred.
• Relevant Certifications are preferred (i.e. CHMM, BEAC. CPEA, CPESC. CSP, GSP, ASP, etc).

• Possess a solid knowledge on a wide variety of environmental, as well as health & safety regulatory requirements, concepts, techniques, and best practices.
• Possess a thorough understanding of construction and related contracts.
• Minimum OSHA 30 hr construction training certificate and be OSHA 500 certified and NY Code Rule 59 & 60 certified (not required at time of interview but designations will be required within 1 yr of starting date).
• Past construction experience performing EHS related tasks is beneficial.
• Past experience with insurance carrier or broker services is beneficial
• Ability to constructively analyze and interpret plans programs, policies, procedures and contracts for compliance/obligations.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate multiple activities (i.e. self-supervise).
• Experience in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy; while building and sustaining effective working relationships with a team of interdisciplinary professionals.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and general computer/web applications.
• This position will require the candidate to be a self starter who can work under minimum supervision.
