This position will support Aon's Inpoint Services group. Senior QA Engineer Inpoint is looking for a smart, self motivated individual that has a passion for quality and strong problem solving skills to support our fast growing SaaS application. As a key member of the development team you will be responsible for the development of unit and integration tests as well as the management of our quality release cycles, nightly builds, and code coverage of the ClaimsMonitor application, a next generation audit tool that services the P&C insurance industry. Responsibilities - Work closely with Java engineers as part of an agile team member developing automated function unit tests (TestNG)
- Organize and capture functional complexity in a comprehensive test plan
- Manage nightly builds run in cruise control ensuring clean builds across all code branches
- Work with UX engineers on usability testing and web requirements
- Aide in the documentation of requirements and feature sets of each monthly iteration
- Develop automated selenium web tests
- Develop formal test plans and process around quality release management
Required Skills - 3-5 years of formal software QA experience
- Ability to write Java based unit tests (TestNG or Junit)
- Strong attention to detail both in functional and usability testing
- Ability to create clear and concise bug reports with actionable steps to reproduce
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with issue tracking systems (Trac, JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Desirable Skills - Experience with Selenium Web Test Framework
- Experience using Maven2 build system
- Unix / Linux Experience
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle / mySQL)
- Experience in P&C Insurance industry a plus
Education - BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience
