DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and analysis of fire protection and life safety systems, building and fire code consulting. Work closely as part of a team of fire protection professionals interfacing with clients and code regulatory authorities. Requires good oral and written communication skills for report writing and in making technical presentations. Project management and mentorship responsibilities. Overnight travel required. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: - BS degree in Fire Protection Engineering; FE or EIT Certification and/or license PE
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in Fire Protection required.
- Knowledge of IBC, NFPA standards, state and local building codes with emphasis of fire protection & life safety intent.
- Experience in the design of fire protection and life safety systems for high-rise urban, fire alarm, and/or sprinkler system design.
- Familiarity with the building construction process including working with Fire Marshalls and building code officials.
