-Business, finance or economics major; math major with a strong business minor

Background: What is Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)?

The type and scope of risks facing organizations today are increasing in both complexity and frequency. Additionally, there are rising expectations for risk management as regulations change and rating agencies increase their scrutiny. Key stakeholders, such as Boards and shareholders, are raising significant questions such as "What risks are the organization taking?" and "Is the organization effectively managing and being compensated for the risks it is taking?" There is a clear message — it is the responsibility of management and the Board to ensure that an appropriate framework is in place to manage the uncertainties and drivers of volatility that an organization encounters.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) provides a valuable framework for addressing these challenges and facilitating risk-adjusted decisions across the organization. An ERM program assists management in the identification, management, and reporting of the organization's key risks. ERM helps business leaders at all levels assess the risks and opportunities to business goals and objectives.

At an operating level, Business Continuity Management (BCM) enhances an organizations preparedness for business interruption and related matters through risk analysis, continuity planning, and training.

Primary Responsibilities of Intern Consultant Position

• Partner with ERM team to provide high-value ERM and BCM solutions and risk-based decisioning frameworks for clients
• Research and provide detailed overviews of current and potential clients
• Conduct basic financial analysis to support project activities
• Perform internal projects and research to assist the team in business development, intellectual capital development and practice development
• Collaborate with the ERM team in scoping of potential projects, the completion of key project activities and analysis and the creation of various project deliverables (reports, presentations, etc)
• Learn about the range of solutions offered by the ERM practice
• Provide a report at the end of the internship detailing key lessons learned and how the internship will assist your career development (written report will be presented to Aon's ERM Team with management feedback and coaching)
