Aon Hewitt is seeking an experienced Health and Benefits Medicaid Actuarial Consultant to join the Health and Benefits practice. The primary location for the role is Atlanta, GA but we are flexible to any US location. Responsibilities: - Growth and maintenance of Aon Hewitt's consulting business by providing technical and analytical support to account managers and consulting staff on client related work relating to state Medicaid and SCHIP plans, claims administration, financial analysis/projections and renewal negotiations.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of the Health and Benefit practice, and participates as needed on task forces and special project teams.
- Specific areas of expertise needed for this position include rate analysis for managed acute care and managed LTC lines of business for various populations covered by Medicaid categories of aid, IBNR analysis, carrier negotiations, benchmark analysis, client financial analysis and reporting and carrier contract reviews.
- Must work well with internal and external Aon Hewitt client team members, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable of working on a project basis.
- Responsible for managing the day to day work to serve the client needs, coordinate the client team and respond to client inquiries.
- Manage client projects and report to the senior client lead.
- Have the ability to grow sales opportunities due to health care reform legislation and other initiatives.
- Will work on referral work from other offices and grow existing client work by expanding offerings within existing clients.
- Manage complex client engagements internally.
- Acts as a trusted advisor for internal and/or external clients on key issues.
- Drives services delivery in ways that achieves exceptional client satisfaction.
- Acts as a thought partner for internal and or external clients.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics, or related fields
- ASA or FSA
- Must have Medicaid Actuarial experience
