The role

Reporting to the Head of Direct Sales, the Team Leader Direct Sales is responsible for the day-to-day management, professional development and sales performance for a team of ten RG146 compliant business development professionals. This is a newly created position that forms part of our ongoing expansion strategy - and will see an inspirational and knowledgeable Financial Planning professional lead the team to success in a future growth area. Specifics of the role include;

• Lead a team to achieve the sales and revenue targets in a fully compliant manner adopting a highly proactive approach using the sales management framework

• Understand, articulate and embed end to end sales and advice processes and targeted wealth management product strategies
• Execute on agreed marketing campaigns to facilitate the achievement of sales targets
• Day to day management of the Sales team including regular sales strategy meetings and regular one on one meetings with staff
• Assist with the ongoing development of a high performance culture in the sales team.

Your skills and expertise

To achieve success in this fast paced team it is crucial that you are equipped with the tools and experience to continuously motivate and develop team members in a highly sales focussed environment. Ideally you will be an accomplished sales professional with a wealth of knowledge of Financial Products, Financial Advice & with an up-to-date understanding of legislative requirements - Diploma of Financial Services (DFS) or similar essential. Other skills that will ensure your success in this role are;

• Passion for customer service and ability to deliver profitable business outcomes based on the customer's needs
• Ability to translate business challenges and priorities into the Direct team strategy and connect this with tactical execution and implementation
• Demonstrated relationship management and networking skills, with a focus on managing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
