The TPO strives to standardize and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects. The TPO is the source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of test management and execution. It's functions will include: Resourcing, Test Estimation, Metrics collections and reporting, Vendor Management, Financial Management, Knowledge Management & Training, Test Governance & Process, and finally Test Quality Assurance. Purpose of Role - Establish a robust, effective Test QA Office responsible for overall project tracking and testing governance - People management: - Lead and develop a team of IT professionals: Test Managers, Test Leads and Test Analysts (team of up to 50, with direct reports 10-15) - Responsibility for the all testing phases within the SDLC including Release testing - Ownership of the overall Testing Framework, including standards and processes, tools and templates. - Monitoring and Reporting on active projects (following up project until completion), and reporting progress to Head of Testing through a new QA function - Ownership of all facets of Financial tracking including project estimates - Relationship management: - Establish and maintain partnering relationships with the AMP business, other teams in other portfolios across IT@AMP IT, ACI, NZ, AXA and 3rd party vendors / suppliers in which all parties work toward the success of the AMP business Main Focus Areas - Work with the Testing Leads and other Project Managers, to determine, track and manage IT budgets, billability, efficiencies, and single point sensitivities. - Drive and embed new testing initiatives developed out of the testing uplift program within all portfolios - Worked closely with the senior AMP management to facilitate the strategic goals of the Integration programs and the testing uplift program - Responsible for overall business quality solution in an onshore-offshore test and business model. Experience required 10+ years experience in leadership/consulting role within the IT area of a financial services organisation. 10+ Previous program/project management experience skills and awareness of testing methodologies and strong QA skills Extensive experience working in large scale transformation programs Extensive knowledge and experience with software development life cycles and process Familiarity with iterative or agile development processes Excellent analytical, problem solving, consulting and coaching skills.
