Research on Strategic Change is a small team of investment professionals responsible for providing primary cross-sector thematic research to help drive AllianceBernstein’s global Analysts’ and Portfolio Managers’ investment recommendations and decisions. We will consider a range of relevant experience including investment research, academic research, consultancy, industry, finance and engineering. The ideal candidate should have three to five years of prior experience with a proven track-record of success. We are looking for candidates with relentless intellectual curiosity that are able to independently manage a long-term research project and collaborate with the team to share incremental findings and results. Our Research Analyst's typically have track records of outstanding professional performance, excellent analytical and financial skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Ideally we are interested in candidates with strong problem-solving skills who excel at leveraging creative research sources to arrive at conclusions to complex issues. The Research Analyst will report to the Director of Research for Global Growth Equities and will be responsible for providing primary research on a specific theme or innovative topic that impacts multiple sectors. Typically it takes about one year to complete a research study; however, Portfolio Managers and sector Research Analysts are updated on an ongoing basis. The research process is flexible and iterative, as each project has different requirements and this provides the Research Analyst the freedom to explore each topic as they see fit. The group meets on a regular basis to discuss findings and to ensure the right questions are asked and explored.
