Position We are seeking a NY-based Developer / Analyst to join the Equity Investment Management Research Team to provide technology solutions for the buy side equity quantitative and fundamental investment teams. Job Qualifications The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience: • Degree in computer science with understanding of SQL databases • Strong analytical skills • Must demonstrate good communication skills and be comfortable working closely with senior business partners • Candidate must be a self starter, as well as a team player. • A desire to deliver real world solutions, and be able to balance tactical and strategic workloads • A strong desire to document and share work done to aid in long term support Desired Qualifications: • Experience with Matlab, SAS, QADirect, Factset, Bloomberg • Ability to program SQL queries and stored procedures (Microsoft or Sybase) • Degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or economics • Database modeling skills • Programming experience in C#, C++ or other modern object oriented languages • Experience working in the finance industry Job Description This role will involve working closely with the quantitative team to build and support existing market data downloads, quantitative model implementation, data mining, and data analysis. The candidate will have an opportunity to work alongside an established team of quantitative analysts helping to provide technology solutions to aid them in managing several portfolios. In addition the candidate will be sponsored and reimbursed to obtain his/her CFA certification.
