The purpose of this position is to provide internal space planning/interior design and presentation services, resolving design issues in all phases of the design and construction processes.

Candidates must possess proficiency in 3D computer rendering using Studio Viz (or similar computer software, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, hand drafting and color sketching for fast track design presentations, proficient in AutoCAD (rel. 2005 and up). Basic photography skills a plus.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, strong communication and interpersonal skills, familiar with Microsoft Office standard package applications (Word, Excel).

Position Requirements:

A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, Architecture or related field and two years of practical design experience.

- Maintain the integrity of Company’s design philosophy, aesthetic and standards through adaptation of existing design details, finishes and fixtures; participate in design and design development stages of the projects, new design standard development, identification of new materials and vendor’s selection.
-Based on the program submitted by Planning and Implementation, research and develop space plan, furniture layouts and millwork elevations that fulfill the program requirements, adhere to corporate standards, and are feasible within the project budget and schedule; present the above to the Senior Design Manager and Vice President, Design & Construction for review prior to further presentations and evaluation.
-Develop all required presentation color renderings, perspective sketches and models for further evaluations and approvals.
-Coordinate with the project design team the furniture selection and specifications including furniture types, layouts and material selection for future procurement and product delivery and installation.
-Initiate project participation and coordination among other facilities departments including Asset Management, Security, AV, Food Services, Distribution Services, Art and other in-house disciplines.
-Monitor and review design and construction team’s progress to ensure compliance with the project design intent; attend project meetings to maintain project coordination with the project management team as a representative of the Senior Design Manager.
-In tandem with the Project Manager oversee architectural development of construction documents and their adherence to the design intent; analyze and recommend necessary design revisions for further review and approval; verify accuracy of contract documents prior to release to contractors.
-Prepare artwork packages for Company’s Signage design and production in coordination with Strategic Planning Group.
-Maintain organized project design record keeping and filing procedures in accordance with the Company standard compliance requirements.
-Monitor and prepare final design closeout project materials, including as-built photo documentation for the Project File.
-Complete special projects or additional duties as required by the Senior Design Manager, Vice President, Design & Construction and Senior Vice President, Administrative Services.
