Integration Engineer Job Details

Reporting to the Manager of OASIS, a global implementation services group, you will be involved in the development, deployment, and support for complete risk management solutions, installed either in-house or at external client sites. The solutions will generally involve the integration of AlgoSuite products for a variety of clients and business functions encompassing both market and credit risk solutions. The role will include a support function and require the ability to provide knowledge transfer and training to other support groups during a transition phase into full production. Often, you will work as part of a cross functional team made up of members of the Professional Services team as well as other internal groups including Development, Financial Engineering and AlgoLab.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data integration and mapping scripts to seamlessly transfer data from vendors and internal source systems into AlgoSuite and custom applications.
• Install and integrate Algorithmics'suite of products such as: RiskWatch,ARA, AIDB,ARDB, Limits Manager,RiskMapper, Algo Scenario Engine, ARE, Risk++ at customer sites on a variety of UNIX platforms;
• Configure and automate overnight batch systems for daily operations.
• Deploy and configure complete systems on Production, UAT and Development environments. Design and develop system monitoring and re-start scripts for support of system operation.
• Document and provide knowledge transfer of system design and operations.
• Provide support to operations staff. Investigate and troubleshoot system operations and performance issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willingness for some travel.

Experience on Linux and Unix (Red Hat, Sun Solaris and AIX preferred) systems; some Windows NT desirable

• Database experience with Oracle, Sybase or DB2
• Experience with data manipulation, transformation and cleansing using PERL, Shell and other script languages.
• Sound knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and experience with languages such as C++ and Java.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to convey complex ideas to a variety of functional and technical audiences.
• Ability to multitask and take initiative.
• Experience with financial applications and trading systems a definite asset.

Education:

University degree - Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Work Experience:

Minimum 2-4 years of related experience acquired in a computing services or Professional Services industry role.
